A letter from a Prayer Shawl recipient

Thank you SO much for the beautiful prayer shawl!!!! It touches my heart to know that all of you took time to do something like this for someone you don't even know. I have to say that there has been one other time in my life when I received a prayer shawl. I was pregnant with my son, and I was very sick. My son, Tommy, was in grave danger of arriving too soon.It was during this time that I first developed kidney problems. I wore that shawl, and I wore it alot. Tommy was born early, by three months. But I believe in that shawl because while he was so small and so early...he had NO long term side effects and to look at him today you would never know he was so early. That in itself was a miracle, but along with that my kidney disease seemed to reverse itself and my numbers went back to normal. My son is now 6 years old. I have shared 6 great years without dialysis.

With that we are to the present, and your shawl is amazing, and I too will wear this one to dialysis everyday. I am not very open about my feeling towards God and religion, but I will say I truly believe He is all things GREAT!! I know there is a plan for me, and this transplant is in my future. Until then I will keep the faith and have the grace to get through this. You are a wonderful group to do what you do and I hope you know how much I truly appreciate it.
